Goals for 2015

I haven't made any real resolutions, but I'm in a motivated mood right now so I wanted to make a list of things I'd like to accomplish for this year.

Also, there's gifs in here. Just to liven things up.

1. Complete 100 Happy Days in its entirety without skipping a day. Anyone who wants to join me is absolutely welcome!

2. Complete C25K without any moaning or groaning because it's only three days a week for only 30-40 minutes a day. Again, anyone who wants to join, we can cheerlead each other during this mission. To go with this goal is doing a half marathon with my bf in April and the Avengers Half Marathon in California in November!

3. Read at least one book a month. I know this sounds pathetic, 12 books in a year? One of my biggest problems is my attention span, it's become so short that I can barely look at this screen alone for too long before I get the urge to do something else. I used to read so much and so often, and I'd like to get back into the habit. I'll be listing all the books I've read here and hopefully by the end of the year, I'll be at more than one a month.

4. Save money. The aim is going to be $12,000 by the end of the year, averaging $1000 a month. I dipped into savings a few times last year for travel purposes, but I want to keep myself from doing that now. If I can't afford it with liquid funds, I can't afford it period. Unless Aidan Turner shows up to NZ Comic Con.

5. Enjoy my job. This might mean getting the supervisor position I've applied for at work; it might mean trying to find the bright side in things every time I feel like I'm upset; or it might just mean finding an entirely different job altogether. Ultimately, I want to feel like I'm happy with my career, just like anyone else would.

6. Finish at least a draft of a novel. Any novel.

7. Study a language. I might re-learn French, use Duolingo to pick up something new like Spanish, or immerse myself in the world of Khuzdul. Maybe all three.

8. Take a horseback riding lesson. Dressed as Tauriel from The Hobbit.

9. Be friendlier. I always feel kind of awkward when I try to send people love because I'm always afraid that I won't come off sounding as genuine as I'd like to be. It's going to be my aim to offer more encouragement this year and spray all the love I have to offer around the world. Or at least all over Twitter.

10. No more soda. I need to follow through on this, I really do. I was doing quite well drinking just tea and water for quite a long time until I went on my NYC trip and fell back into the dangerous world of coffee and carbonation. This year, I want to cut soda out entirely and limit myself to a maximum of one coffee a week. The only time I'm willing to make an exception on the coffee rule is if I'm on vacation and need the extra caffeine boost to make it through the day.

That's all for now, but I'll add more if they come to me. If I manage to do all that in 2015, I think I'll deserve a massive high-five.

We should put idiots up to the end of the lighthouse into a google doc that we can share and both work on. That way we can make decisions about which sections should be in which POV, where we need to add more history and the flashbacks and whatnot. And we can leave notes for each other in it, since our time zones make getting a lot of free time at the same time kind of hard.

And I'll get back on task with telling you NO COFFEE. XD

I can also cheerlead fitness stuff. I won't be doing any running because my knees are the woooooorst, but we can still cheer for each other. :D
